Getting ready to come home

Well were getting ready to come home tomorrow. We have the room till noon so I guess we will be getting up and packing in the morning. Trip has been amazing and I can't wait to come home and show you the pictures and tell you about it. Havana was really good, no cigar factory or rum tour though. The jeep tour was awesome, Zach drove all day and we met a nice couple from Sask that we shared some laughs with. We leave the hotel at 11:45 tomorrow night and will be back in Canada around 7:30 am. Ill wait to call for a bit to not wake u guys up haha. I hope everyone had a good week at home and that you didnt miss me to much. Bye for now!

Day 2 - Varadero

Hola!!
Well when we woke up today it was a bit cloudy so we decided to take the bus in to town. The problem was...so did everyone else haha. We waiting at the bus stop and two completely full buses drove past. Thankfully we had been talking with a couple while we waited so the four of us decided to share a taxi in to town. Only cost me seven bucks. We did some shopping and Zach got a really cool leather painting and I got a flower made out of a bull horn. We had a beer in town and headed back to the resort for lunch and to lay by the pool for a little bit. Right now we had a snack at the buffet and have dinner booked for nine o clock at the italian resturaunt. I hope its better then the Mexican as I was quite disappointed with it. Oh well its free so we just hit the buffet after.

We are going to havana tomorrow so that will be a long day, we will be going to bed early tonight haha. Then doing the jeep tour on Friday as it seems like the best option for a second tour, could have done a boat....but I feel my stomach would have hated me. Anyways time to have a drink before dinner.

We made it!

Hello all at home. We made it down here and will very few problems. Other than I was very tired at four this morning when we finally made it to the hotel. We got all checked in and had a nap haha. I have not seen my dad yet but im assuming he is not coming now. The resort is beautiful, there will be pictures eventually. There is no wifi though so I bought some internet time, I will not be posting much...so mom dont worry haha. The room is pretty nice, its clean and the air conditioner works...too well. I woke up at 5 this morning freezing to death, I had to go sit in the sun to warm up. We are in room 31305. Third floor close to the fun pool. I have to go for now though as we are going to go to our orientation meeting and then pool bar!! Until I have time again... Adios

At the Airport!!

So we made it to the airport and through security! We had subway for dinner and now we are just waiting at the gate for them to call us to get on the flight. Our flight leaves at 6:40 and it is currently 5:37. Its getting close!! In just a few more hours we will be sitting by the pool with our first drinks of the trip. And yes Melissa we will be having a few for you! I will post again when we get down there!

Packing...

With all the excitement and anticipation before we leave I have to admit I am dreading packing...I am always concerned I will forget something. I think I have everything I need though, although I am still looking in to where the best place to park for the week is. I am going to make a list tonight hopefully that will aid my memory when Saturday hits and I actually pack. Other than that I am just counting down the days until I get to leave the cold!!

Got the Tickets!

I went and picked up the tickets today. Now all I have to do is pack and wait. Although I think I will wait a little longer before I start packing. Everything looks good though, names all spelled right and what not. Only thing that is a little upsetting is our flight times but of course I knew what times they were when I booked the trip. We leave Calgary at 6:40PM on Sunday December 9th and Land in Varadero on Monday December 10th at 2:40 AM. Now this isn't so bad because we are not losing any time down there, meaning we still have the full day to lay on the beach and swim in the pool. Now on the way back we do not leave Varadero until Sunday December 16 at 3:30 and then we land in Calgary Monday December 17th at 7:40. But I guess I can sleep on the plane. At least I don't work on Monday, gives me the day to nap.


Less Than two weeks until were out of here!!!!!

Vacation Booked

The Vacation has been booked, just waiting for the tickets to show up. We are going to Memories Varadaro! The reviews of the property make it sound wonderful, although it sounds like I could get some exercise in walking around this very large resort.

We just have some last minute things to attend to before we leave including finding some sandles and doing some shoping for trinkets to give away down there. Oh and I am still waiting for our tickets to get here, but I'm told there is lots of time let for that. Waiting is definitely the hardest part!
